PRIDE BY THE BEACH

Nestled under the umbrella of the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, Pride by the Beach is a program that will shelter you from any storm. Our mission is to serve, empower and advocate for San Diego North County’s diverse LGBTQI+ community. We have worked tirelessly for more than 10 years to accomplish this goal. The lifesaving services and programs we’ve created have helped thousands of LGBTQI+ people. Our reach extends to over 13 cities in the North San Diego region, as well as Camp Pendleton. Some of the programs we have grown to offer include mental health resources, transgender support groups, HIV prevention and care, and transitional housing for youth at risk for homelessness. We continue to discover innovative ways to serve our community and hope to do this for the next 10 years and beyond.

We envision a community where everyone lives in equality, feels accepted, valued, safe and free from social stigma. Everything we do is heart-centered and stems from love. As stated by Max Dispoti, Executive Director of North County LGBTQ Resource, “We know that every person is worthy of dignity and respect.” The visibility of LGBTQI+ folks has grown over the last several years. Pride by the Beach, celebrating 15 years in 2022 takes the lead in continuing to bring awareness through the Youth Leadership program, community leadership opportunities and a world class, free family-friendly Pride festival held the second Saturday (June 3, 2023, 12:00-6:00) in June in Oceanside, CA.
